Reinvent Your Life & Help Others Do The Same

Actually, I wedged myself into said box because, well, that’s what I thought I was “supposed” to do. And I. WAS. MISERABLE. Can you relate?
You followed all of the “rules”, stayed on the path prescribed for you, only to look in the mirror one day and see a reflection that you did not recognize. This is why you are here….why you found my corner of the interwebs. We have something in common my friend. You crave more, different, better. You desire to go against the grain, carve your own path, do it YOUR way, and you are onto something! That is your intuition! She won’t let you down, I promise. You have a craving deep within because you are living out of alignment with who you truly are. Your authentic self. The you that is so “you”, she could be unstoppable if you stop looking outside of yourself for validation, worth, acceptance, and tune into the beauty, wisdom, and strength that is inside.
Your desires are yours for a reason! They were given to you specifically and for a purpose. If you sense that you have outgrown your current reality, you have. Don’t fight it out of fear. Embrace your truth and bravely step out into uncharted waters. Will it be scary? Hell YES! But, will it be worth it?! You have no fucking idea! Starting this blog was scary as hell for me! But trust me, you have what it takes to follow your gut and go for your dreams. The truth is, your reinvention is not solely for yourself. It is for the benefit of other women who are simply steps behind you. Taking back your power gives others permission to do the same. Starting a blog is just one of the many ways to share your journey with the souls you are meant to connect with. The women who need to learn from you. If your intuition is whispering that this is the path for you. Listen to her. Even if you’re scared. There are others who need to learn from your wisdom even if you don’t feel like you “have it all figured out” just yet. And honestly, that’s just an illusion. You won’t ever have it all figured out, but as you take aligned action and follow your intuition, the doors will open and the path will be made clear.
You can choose to stay small, forcing your wild self into that damn box, or, you can decide to break free, chase your dreams, and bet on yourself for a change. You, my beautiful friend, are a gem. No matter what you have been conditioned to believe, you possess a power and greatness deep within that is dying to come out. Dying to be expressed. You are here, at this time for a reason, don’t miss it. Get really honest with your deepest desires and check those against your current reality. Do they align? Where are you sacrificing your peace, joy, success for what is simply “ok”? Where are you allowing fear to subconsciously be in control?
Let me tell you a little story….I was in a toxic marriage for 12 years. 12 YEARS!! I won’t share all of the details, but once I finally, FINALLY decided that the pain of staying outweighed the pain of leaving, I was FREE. I felt empowered, beautiful, confident, strong, scared to death, AND, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was making the right decision. I had three beautiful souls that depended on me to be the best version of myself and that is what I desired to give them. It was an impossible choice, but is what ultimately led to our freedom.
I went from being a stay at home mom, which I adored, to needing to work full time. I have had a variety of jobs over the past 8 years, and one thing remains, well, two things actually. One, I have a deep and burning desire to work for myself, and, two, I make a terrible employee! I really do, and maybe you feel this way too. You hate working for someone else, you have big ideas and you want to bring them to life, you just aren’t sure HOW. You know you need to live life on your own terms, set your own schedule and be there for your children when they need you most. The transition from always being home to working 40 plus hours a week in jobs I was not passionate about in the least, was a brutal change. (Albeit, one that I had to make, and also the impetus for where I am today, but difficult non the less.) Which is why, when I was LAID OFF in September, I felt ECSTATIC! I truly did. I knew this was my opportunity to turn my dreams into reality.
The Universe has a funny way of opening doors in the midst of seemingly dark times, you simply need to pay attention.
In the past three years I got married to a wonderful man and we welcomed a surprise baby boy into our family. Having teenagers and a toddler at the same time gives me whiplash most days, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am determined now, more than ever, to follow my intuition and go all in on myself. Which leads me to Sun + Soul Well Co. Starting a blog seemed daunting when I had no clue what I was doing, but there are so many valuable resources out there to help get you started.
